How to organize your prospects as a freelancer
Leads coming from DMs, emails, and calls with no system? Here's how to get organized in 10 minutes.
The multi-channel chaos
A prospect contacts you on Instagram. Another by email. A third through a form. You save the first in your favorites, the second in your head, and the third in a file somewhere.
Result: after a week, you don't know who contacted you, through which channel, or what you told them.
The 3-step system
1. **Centralize everything.** Every lead, regardless of channel, goes in one place. A simple pipeline with 6 columns: New, Contacted, Follow-up, Proposal, Won, Lost.
2. **Give every lead a date.** When should you follow up? Tomorrow? In 3 days? Note it.
3. **Open your list every morning.** 5 minutes to see who to follow up with. Do it, reschedule, get to work.
Why it changes everything
You go from "I hope I don't forget anyone" to "I know exactly what to do today." Mental load drops. Deals move forward. And you close more because you follow up at the right time.
